Altar List of the Dead: In November each year when we pray for our dead, churches enrol the names of our relatives and friends who have departed this life on an annual ‘Altar List of the Dead’. There are envelopes available on the tables beside the entrance doors to the church if you wish to complete your Altar List of the Dead and return it to the church.

LAUDATO SI – OPEN INVITATION TO ALL
You are invited to join us for a Zoom Mini Course on Laudato Si, Pope Francis Encyclical “On Care For Our Common Home” We will explore Pope Francis inspiring document which is addressed to each of us and offers a blueprint for responding to the Cry of the Poor and the Cry of the Earth. REMEMBERING: All welcome to join us at the Pro-Cathedral on Sunday lunchtimes in November for: Remembering. The choirs associated with the Pro-Cathedral present a series of four Sunday lunchtime performances singing a varied and wide-range of choral music. At each performance, we will remember those lost during the Covid period in a special way. November 14th, 21st and 28th all at 1.15pm. Admission is free.

A Prayer for Our Earth
All powerful God,
you are present in the universe
and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with your peace, so that we may live as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned
and forgotten of this earth,
so precious in your eyes.
Bring healing to our lives,
that we may protect the world and not prey on it,
that we may sow beauty,
not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts
of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly united
with every creature
as we journey towards your infinite light.

A Prayer in the Time of the Coronavirus
Almighty and All–loving God,
Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
we pray to you through Christ the Healer
for those who suffer from the Coronavirus Covid–19
in Ireland and across the world.
We pray too for all who reach out to those who mourn the loss
of each and every person who has died as a result of contracting the disease.
Give wisdom to policymakers,
skill to healthcare professionals and researchers,
comfort to everyone in distress
and a sense of calm to us all in these days of uncertainty and distress.
This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord
who showed compassion to the outcast,
acceptance to the rejected
and love to those to whom no love was shown.

Generation Tech
Generation Tech is a free service and is run by volunteers. Volunteer run FREE HELPLINE to help older people in Ireland with tech issues. Our volunteers are tech experts and work in shifts from 8am-8pm Monday to Friday. Support is provided over the phone. If you, or those with whom you work wish to connect with people in relation to your mental wellbeing, please consider using the Phone In and Zoom Support & Self Care Groups, the Support Line or Support Mail, now and throughout the holiday season. These services provide support, coping skills and information – and most importantly help people who are in distress to know and feel that they are not alone in their experience.
