On this day in 1858, Our Lady first appeared to the fourteen year old Bernadette Soubirous. In 1992 Pope John Paul 11 instituted the World day of the Sick to be held on the commemoration of Our Lady of Lourdes.

The February meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council will take place by zoom on this Tuesday evening at 8pm.
Masses in Milltown Parish will be online only until further notice. Daily on line Mass is at 10am and also at 11.30am on Sundays. All of these Masses are livestreamed and can be viewed on the Parish Webcam.

Accord Dublin continues to provide a Marriage and Relationship Counselling service. It also offer preparation courses for the Sacrament of Marriage. These courses are conducted via zoom during the current lockdown. Contact details for Accord Dublin are on their website.
Accord Dublin’s Annual Collection will take place next weekend the 13th & 14th February. We realise that it will be much more difficult for parishes to support us this year – although the demand for services is greater than ever. Parishioners can donate in the following ways:

ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.Calls to the ALONE National Support Line cost no more than a local call to a landline.

The Mary Aikenhead Centre in Donnybrook operate a ‘Meals on Wheels Service’ for our area. This service provides a healthy meal delivered direct to elderly and housebound person’s homes five days a week Monday to Friday. If you are an elderly person from this area and would like to avail of this service, please contact the Centre at 01 2698995.
