In our church there is a private area beside the organ where confessions can take place. Fr. Peter will be available to hear confessions after the 10am Mass on Saturday mornings.

Thank you for your donations to last Sunday’s Collections. The Offertory Collection amounted to €795 and the Share Collection amounted
€430.
During the month of June 2022 the Tap and Go machines in Milltown Parish collected €1,143.00 from 129 transactions. This is split 60% to the Common Fund and 40% to Share.

Parishioners are invited to become Associate Members of this year’s Dublin Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. To facilitate those wishing to register as associate members, we have an enrolment form available after weekend Masses in the side porch of the church.
Parishioners may also enrol as Associate Members of this year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage on weekdays in the Parish Pastoral Centre
The enrolment sheets will be taken to Lourdes so that the intentions of all are remembered at Diocesan Masses in the Sanctuary. The Associate Membership is the mainstay of fundraising income for this pilgrimage.

PATHWAYS: EXPLORING FAITH AND MINISTRY
Application is now open for the next intake of participants for Pathways. The programme, run by the Dublin Archdiocese, begins this year on Thursday, September 29, in DCU St Patrick’s Campus. Places are limited so early application is advisable
Pathways is a two-year, one evening a week course, for adults of all ages who wish to explore their faith. It runs from late September to May each year, with breaks for Christmas, Easter and mid-terms. There are no exams and no written work. The only requirement is an openness to listening to others and to participate. The cost is €400 per year which may be paid in instalments throughout the year.

SUMMER MUSIC AT SANDFORD PARISH
On our Notice Boards you will find information on the summer lunchtime concerts at Sandford Parish Church. These concerts will take place every Friday from 1.10pm – 1.50pm throughout the summer.

In April, Archbishop Dermot Farrell established a Task Force called Building Hope. The Task Force was asked to assess the needs of the people of the Archdiocese emerging from Covid-19 and to work to support parish communities as they undertake a radical renewal, looking to the future with creativity. 3,000 people, mostly lay faithful, responded to the invitation to share their views. The Task Force report is now available on the Diocesan Website.

The Dodder Action is an umbrella group of volunteers who want to maximise the potential of the River Dodder as an amenity for the people of Dublin.
They organise working groups to regularly go out and clean the river banks with equipment from Dublin City Council, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and Dublin South County Council.

Community Sponsorship for refugee resettlement: Can you help?
Community Sponsorship is an alternative model to state-led resettlement under which local groups of volunteer’s source accommodation for a family and provide a ready-made network of support and friendship when the families come to Ireland.
Outcomes for both resettled families, sponsors and local communities have been demonstrated time and again to be extremely positive.
A local Community Sponsorship group was formed in this area in late 2021 and we hope to welcome a family during 2022.
To do this we need to find accommodation and raise sufficient funds to provide the required support over a two-year period.

All powerful God,
you are present in the universe
and in the smallest of your creatures.
You embrace with your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.

O God of the poor,
help us to rescue the abandoned

The Mary Aikenhead Centre in Donnybrook operate a ‘Meals on Wheels Service’ for our area. This service provides a healthy meal delivered direct to elderly and housebound person’s homes five days a week Monday to Friday.
