Important Times
This Thursday, November 1 st is All Saints Day. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Mass will be at 10am in the Parish Church.
Mass on this Bank Holiday Monday, 0ct. 29 th will be at the later time of 11am.
FIRST FRIDAY: This Friday, November 2nd is the First Friday of the month. The 10am Mass on the day will be offered for all who are recently deceased and those whose names are on the Parish Altar list of the Dead.
Altar List of the Dead: Traditionally in November, when each year we pray for our dead, churches enrol the names of our relatives and friends who have departed this life on an annual ‘Altar List of the Dead’. There are envelopes available on the tables beside the entrance doors to the church if you wish to complete your Altar List of the Dead and return it to the church.
Condolences
We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the late Lola Murphy whose funeral took place in Beechwood Parish Church during the last week.
Parish’s Annual Bethany Mass
The Parish’s Annual Bethany Mass for those whose funerals took place here during the past 12 months will be celebrated at 6pm on next Saturday, November 3rd. Parishioners are invited to forward us the names of their recently departed relatives and friends whom they wish to have remembered at this Mass. Please contact the Parish Office if you are available to help with the reception which will be held in the Parish Pastoral Centre after this Mass.
Milltown Guild of the I.C.A.
The next meeting of the Milltown Guild of the I.C.A. will take place at 8pm on this Thursday November 1 st . At this meeting a play called Galway Girl
will be performed. The play is adapted from the book by Geraldine Aron. The performance is sponsored by Dublin City Council. Non I.C.A. members are welcome to attend.

Fr. Alan’s Parish Prayer Group
Fr. Alan’s Parish Prayer Group meets on Monday afternoons in the Parish Pastoral Centre at 3pm. This group will be exploring Prayer, Mindfulness and finding God in our lives.
On Thursday, November 8 th the Parish’s Active Retirement Group are hosting a Music Appreciation afternoon called ‘Past Times – Music of the 60’s’ in the Parish Pastoral Centre. This will begin at 2.30pm. This event is sponsored by Dublin City Council.
Art Sale
On this Thursday, November 1 st an Art Sale will be opened in St. Philip’s Church Hall, Temple Road Dartry. The Guest speaker will be Josepha Madigan, Minister for Culture, Heritage & the Gaeltacht. The exhibition will continue over the weekend on Friday from 12-7, Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12.30 –4pm.
‘Living with Loss’ A Bereavement
‘Living with Loss’ A Bereavement Information Evening will take place on Thursday 1st November, from 5.30–8.00pm at the Alex Hotel, 41-47 Fenian Street, Dublin 2. Niamh Fitzpatrick, sister of the late Captain Dara Fitzpatrick, will address the gathering and speak on the theme ‘Living with Loss’. Admission is free.
